Green tea if consumed in reasonable amounts and accompanied by a healthy diet can prove to be a very effective way to control weight. Side effects of green tea manifest only when it is consumed excessively. Green tea diets can be followed all year round by people of any age group.

Although research has not yet been able to establish that use of green tea diet will guarantee weight loss, personal experiences have proved that green tea has indeed ingredients which help in burning calories which are an essential part of weight reduction.
